BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Frances Halloran, a senior on the UAB synchronized swimming team, has been named this week's UAB Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Halloran maintains high marks in the classroom and has led UAB to three straight top-five finishes at the U.S. Collegiate Nationals.

Halloran began her senior campaign by finishing second in the duet competition and first in the team event at Georgia. This past week at defending national champion Stanford, Halloran finished fourth in the duet event with freshman Shaina Boe.

The Toronto, Ontario, Canada native is a double major in biology and french.

The Blazers will host Arizona inside the Bell Aquatics Center on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, UAB will host both Arizona and Georgia at 10:00 a.m.
